FCC 14: DESBOROUGH, VENTRE & MORE CONFIRMED
Heavyweight Title Rematch and Professional Debut of Amateur Champ Fallon to Feature. As well as FCC's Jamie Hay to Make Promotional Debut
Full Contact Contender (FCC), is proud to announce additional bouts for our already stacked fourth birthday celebration on October 17th at Bolton's Macron Stadium.
Chief among the additions are four Cage Warriors veterans, a heavyweight title rematch pitting Shaun 'The Caveman' Kenny against Paul Wadsworth and the professional debut of yet another FCC amateur standout, Robbie Fallon.
Jordan Desborough (9-4) returns to the FCC cage for the third time. The SBG Mainline prospect scored an impressive second round TKO in his most recent outing, and will look to make it three on the bounce against 22-fight veteran Dec Williams. 'Kid Dynamite' (11-8-3) has fought a host of notable names on the domestic circuit, and is currently riding a two-fight winning streak for the first time since 2013. Williams scored an FCC 'KO of the Year' contender in his last promotional appearance, icing Bulgaria's Veselin Ivanov in 42 seconds.
Adam Ventre (4-1) of Next Generation makes his second FCC appearance following a successful promotional debut it March. Solid in all ranges, all four of Ventre's professional victories have come by way of submission. Looking to hand him his first FCC loss will be Nottingham MMA/Team Roughhouse's Dean Truman (4-3). Trueman has been out of action for almost 12 months since dropping a spirited decision to Liam James at Cage Warriors 73, and will be looking to snatch Ventre's momentum when he returns to the cage.
Shaun Kenny attained infamy following his knock-down, drag-out brawl with Paul Wadsworth at FCC 12 in March. Clips from the fight went viral after they were shown on Bas Rutten's Inside MMA, with views hitting triple figures. The formidable pair went toe-to-toe for the duration of the scrap, with both giants landing earth-shattering punches.
Promoter Adam Teh weighed in on the rematch... "Whenever we put the heavyweights in there we know the fight can, and usually will turn on a sixpence! Both guys had huge support last time out and both got their licks in. Paul felt like he had more to offer and Shaun was happy to oblige... I'm expecting another addition to the FCC highlight reel from these titans!"
Following in the footsteps of Ashley Reece and Shawn Hampton, former FCC amateur champion Robbie Fallon will make his professional debut at FCC 14. A bantamweight standout fighting out of the MMA Academy, Fallon will look to take the next step in his MMA career against Nottingham MMA's Joe Rice.
A familiar face to FCC regulars from outside the cage will be making his promotional debut inside it at FCC 14. Interviewer, show-runner, commentator and YouTube celebrity Jamie 'The Haymaker' Hay will step up to throw down with the undefeated Moses Nde of Team Monkey.
Hay, representing Blackledge MMA, returned to competition at Grapple Nation in June, while Nde made his amateur MMA debut the same weekend at FCC 13.
Promoter Adam Teh said... "We've got 12 professional bouts, three amateur titles on the line and - as ever - a supporting cast of the UK's finest up and coming amateur talent. This is FCC's fourth birthday and this card embodies everything that FCC is about; huge fights, huge talent and with more than 20 contests pencilled in, huge value for our fans!"
FCC 14 takes place on October 17th, with more amateur and professional fights to be announced in due course.
