FCC 36: The Fly Catcher Returns

Words by Murdo Todd

Another outstanding Amateur Title contest will take place on December 16 as part of FCC36.

Connor Walsh and Will Doyle will clash in a Flyweight Championship bout.

FCC regular, Walsh, will be looking to defend both home soil and his 125lb title come fight night in what will be his fifth outing under the promotional banner.

The KC Fightbase / MMA Academy fighter is confident in his skills and has every right to be; producing an entertaining contest in a winning effort against Joe Fields last time out.

He also holds wins over other top prospects such as Luke Burns and Jimmy Saddique.

Walsh has all the making of a future star, and with him taking on MMA full time, expect the youngster to continue to improve.

Big fight” Walsh said. “Top performance coming!

Doyle is no slouch either, holding an undefeated 7-0 record and is also regarded as one of the best amateur flyweights in the country. The Manchester Predators fighter will enter with the finishing edge having stopped five of his opponents.

He earned a valuable win over Conor McKay in September, and holds wins over the likes of Ali Sohaiki.

The winner of this fight will not only determine the FCC Amateur Flyweight Champion, but also leave the victor with claim as the best 125lb fighter in the UK and Ireland.

Both men are also not too far off turning over to the professional ranks should they decide to.

You’d struggle to find a better amateur matchup in this country - this is a can’t miss fight so get your tickets HERE, or catch the amateur card live through our website PPV

FCC36 professional card will be live on UFC Fight Pass.
