FCC 15: DOUBLE MAIN EVENT ANNOUNCED

Tim ‘The Experiment’ Wilde vs Martin ‘Diesel’ Delaney has been announced as the second half of FCC 15’s double main event. The pair will meet at the Macron Stadium on March 5th to contest our newly-minted European Lightweight title.

UTC’s Wilde (7-1) is an unorthodox, dynamic and relentless striker, his constant movement and unique angles make him impossible to emulate and incredibly difficult to defeat; as evidenced by a record already strewn with significant wins.

“I’m looking forward to fighting on FCC for the first time,” said Wilde. “It’s a professionally run show that always puts on exciting fight cards. I’m super excited to be topping the bill and I can’t wait to show all the FCC fans what I’m about!”

“Martin Delaney is a tough Scot who comes to fight,” he continued. “He’ll be my toughest test to date but I’m confident. Once I‘ve beat him I’ll be solidifying my spot as a top 155lb’er in the country.”

Martin Delaney (11-1) may well be Wilde’s polar opposite. With 12 pro fights to his name, the Scot has carved out a reputation as a no-nonsense fighter. With high-level Judo credentials and gritty, bullying style, Delaney will be looking to extend his current winning-streak to four on March 5.

A man of few words, Delaney’s message to Wilde was short and sweet: “It’s going to be a good start to 2016 when I take the FCC European Lightweight title.”

Also added to the card is Wilde’s stablemate Tobias ‘The Development’ Reid (3-1). Reid, who lost a closely contested split decision to Ashley ‘The Beast’ Reece at FCC 14, takes on France’s Christopher Sengele (4-1).

FCC favourite Ashley Reece (2-0) also returns to the cage on the show. ‘The Beast’ will face Frenchman Konmon Deh (3-3) as he looks to maintain his undefeated streak.

Finally, an amateur lightweight title bout pitting MDMA’s unbeaten Michael Davies (9-0 AM) against FCPC’s Antonio Sheldon (5-2 AM) has also been confirmed.

Promoter Adam Teh said: “I’m proud to promote such a prestigious headliner between two of the British Isles’ top 155lbers, and the addition of Ashley Reece and Tobias Reid reinforces our commitment to showcasing the next wave of home-grown talent.”
