FCC 14: PIMBLETT OUT

With just over a week to go we have announced a late change to the main card for FCC14. Next Generation, Liverpool stand out Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett has withdrawn from his European Featherweight title defence against Teddy Violet due to an undisclosed illness.

The Frenchman was offered a replacement in the form of Pimblett’s teamate Chris Fishgold at 155lbs but this was declined by Violet’s team. Despite the best efforts of the FCC team, Violet is now pulled from the card.

Promoter Adam Teh said: “We’re devastated to have lost Paddy from the card, especially so close to fight night. However, the health and safety of our athletes is of utmost importance to us here at FCC, so we wish Paddy a speedy recovery and hope to have him back in the cage next year for FCC 15.”

The Welterweight Title match up between SBG’s Matt Inman and Dez Parker is now bumped up to the Main Event. This match up shows the strength of the FCC card bringing two Cage Warriors veteran’s into the fold at short notice.

Elsewhere returning TUF veteran Mick Bowman will now face Aymhard Guih who faced Matt Inman last time out. This bout comes following an injury to Shah Hussain.

Although this last week has been somewhat stressful at FCC HQ we are excited with the revised card and looking forward to a bumper 4th birthday event on Saturday 17th October!!
