FCC 14: JOIN US & CELEBRATE OUR 4TH BIRTHDAY!

FCC is proud to announce the initial batch of bouts for FCC 14: The Fourth Anniversary. A mixture of FCC favourites and new faces highlight the first officially confirmed contests, as the likes of Mick Bowman, Ashley Reece, Dez Parker, Aaron Aby, former amateur light-heavyweight champion Shaun Hampton and Javonne Morrison lace up the FCC gloves.

Chief amongst FCC 14’s initial offerings is the return to action of North West favourite and Ultimate Fighter participant Mick Bowman, in a welterweight contest against storied UKMMA veteran Shah ‘No Pain’ Hussain. Bowman has taken a sabbatical from MMA since his 2012 defeat to the UFC’s Ian Entwistle, a loss which broke an impressive five fight winning streak. A former Wolfslair fighter now competing out of Liverpool MMA Academy, Bowman will be looking to get back into contention on the UK circuit against Hussain.

Shah Hussain was one half of the first ever professional contest on an FCC card, putting up a spirited effort against Martin Stapleton at FCC 4. Hussain has fought a who’s who of UKMMA’s cast of characters at a number of weights, and will be aiming to send Bowman back to the woodshed on October 17th.

Promoter Adam Teh said, “It’s almost been four years, but the amount of action we’ve packed in to the 13 FCC events so far makes it feel like a whirlwind of barely four minutes! On October 17th we’re going all-out with what is looking like the biggest FCC card ever, so it’s only fitting that our first ever professional fighter, Shah Hussain, is returning to face another North West favourite in Mick Bowman.”

Elsewhere on the card, Ashley ‘The Beast’ (1-0) Reece will look to continue his incredible FCC streak as he faces another unbeaten opponent; UTC’s Tobias Reid. Regarded as perhaps the best lightweight prospect in the country, Reece will look to notch up his second professional scalp against a product of one of UKMMA’s most dynamic gyms.

Dez ‘The Arm Collector’ Parker (5-3) will endeavour to bounce back from a narrow decision loss at FCC 13, as he takes on the 5-2 Dan Rushworth of Team Elite. Tommy ‘Skelator’ Miller will face Cystic Fibrosis campaigner and talented scrapper Aaron Aby, while Ian ‘Willy’ Williams and Mikey ‘The Pikey’ Castell each strive to notch their first FCC win in a featherweight showdown.

Former amateur champion Shaun Hampton will attempt to follow up on a dramatic pro debut in his sophomore performance against Ryan Hewston, while Javonne Morrison faces Sam Spencer at 135lbs. In amateur title action, Tarro Grogan (5-1) faces the unbeaten and seemingly unstoppable Igor Puskarskis (9-0) for middleweight gold.

“As ever, on October 17th we’ll be highlighting those who came up through the FCC ranks. As such, I’m especially proud to have former amateur champions Ashley Reece and Shaun Hampton back in action. This card is going to be a treat for the FCC faithful, and the perfect introduction to what we’re about for those gracing the Macron for the first time.”

“FCC 14 will be a birthday party like no other, and a fitting end to our fourth year.” Teh continued. “As one chapter ends, another begins…and the next one might just be our best yet.”

FCC 14 takes place on October 17th, with more amateur and professional fights to be announced in due course.
