FCC13: BERRY VS WONG - FLYWEIGHT MATCH UP
Full Contact Contender are delighted to announce a scintillating match-up in the promotion’s flyweight division between former FCC Amateur Flyweight Champion Mike Berry and Martin Wong on June 20th at the Macron Stadium, Bolton.
Over the past four years FCC has played host to some of the country’s top amateur and professional talent at 125lbs, and these two undefeated fighters are no exception!
Berry, fighting out of Predators MMA, and Wong, fighting out of Liverpool Vale Tudo, both bring 2-0 records to the table for this fight. The former comes off the back of a submission victory against Danny Missin in August last year, while the latter hasn’t fought since tasting victory against Mark Handley at OMMAC 15 in 2012.
Both men have struggled to be matched in the past and some back and forth on Twitter that began with calls for Berry to take on FCC familiar face Aaron Aby, resulted in Wong offering money from his own purse to any undefeated flyweight willing to fight him. The two will finally lock horns in the Full Contact Contender cage when the show returns to the Macron in June.
Berry last fought on the show when he defeated Conor Hignett in 2013, and Wong will be making his maiden FCC appearance.
FCC 13 takes place at the MACRON stadium June 20th.
